AIESEC in Hong Kong in the largest conference of 2007 in Turkey!!!

Dear members,

Do you know which is the largest conference of AIESEC in the year of 2007? Oh yes… I bet you do. It’s the International Congress (IC) 2007!!! 12 smart and passionate leaders of AIESEC in Hong Kong were safely landed on this beautiful country last week.

On 18th – 20th Aug, we had Asia Pacific Growth Network (APGN) pre-meeting, we finally met our APGN Director, Shirley Ma, and also other awesome AIESECers from a total of 18 AP countries! In the pre-meeting, we were very focus on building up the network between countries and driving more results in the year of 2007. That was a great experience to connect to the AP family! Here are some the snapshots from the pre-meeting.

IC started on 21st Aug, kicked off with a fantastic opening plenary, we witnessed more than 100 AIESEC countries demonstrated their Roll Calls on stage! This year, we have Pedro Santos, the President of AIESEC International (PAI) of session 2003-2004 to be the Congress Chair! His sharing about his feelings of coming back to AIESEC and his own stories in AIESEC is so inspiring and motivating! To know more about this incredible leader, go here to check out the message from the Chair!

Here, more than 650 delegates from 100 countries come to this city, just for one reason, that is we want to be the ACHIEVERS! There’s only ONE AIESEC and ONE vision we have, SIX Growth Networks are driving the SAME vision of AIESEC 2010. More than TEN Global Partners of AIESEC will join us in the congress to learn and to achieve. It’s going to be a great and excited year to come! Your Leadership Team of AIESEC in Hong Kong will keep you update about what’s happening here in Turkey! Stay Tone and check out The IC live http://live.myaiesec.net) for more detailed update! Enjoy the photos of your leaders in IC.

National Task

Member satisfaction survey 2007

The member satisfaction survey is a co-coordinated attempt to evaluate the satisfaction of our members through their AIESEC involvement as they pass through the AIESEC Experience.

The survey contains a series of multiple choice questions to be filled in by you! The questions are structured in the following way:

Required to be answered
• Personal Information
• General Questions
Answer only for the AIESEC XP STAGE you are at and/or you last finished

Answer the questions to the stage where you are presently at if you have been in this stage for at least 2 months, otherwise answer ALSO for the stage where you were last at

The results of this survey will help us evaluate how well our talent develops while going through the experience we offer and as well evaluate the service we offer to our members in the above. This will help us identify the areas we need improve and focus on.

Why you should fill this survey in?
• Because you will help AIESEC improve the way it develops its members and our processes... including
• Because your opinion is important to us.
• Because it's fun and it only takes 15 minutes of your time...

How are you AIESEC BU?

I am now in The 59th International Congress, Istanbul, Turkey. Today is the 5th day of the Congress; I had met many AIESEC Alumni today. Those Alumni were MCPs, AI people. And now, they all become CEO of corporates, and Leaders of NGOs. Their stories are so inspiring and you can really feel how AIESEC bring position impact to the society by developing individuals!

In Day3, I had the highlight of every IC, Developing Leaders Day (DLD)! We have a series of training conducted and facilitated by the managers from ABN Amro and Cadbury Schweppes. The workshops are so amazing. We have a test to help us discover our role type. And know how to deal with different role type people when leading a team. It is so cool that I must bring these workshops back and share with you guys!

Also, you can really feel how amaze AIESEC network is in IC. Every day, we have partnership launch. Corporate like Electrolux, DHL, Microsoft…etc. All of them are our partners! Have you ever feel over thousands of chocolates and sweets throwing over your head? I have this experience during the partnership Launch of Cadbury Schweppes.

I got lot of stories want to share with guys but I really had to sleep now. It is because I will have Learn Network Day tomorrow, another amazing event.
