International MC Welcoming Pary!

It was fun! And something quite unexpected… It was the first day Bomi arrived HK and actually that was not an easy day for her. She had to cook her the first difficult dinner in the MC apartment, while we were enjoying those party food prepared by Crystal and disgusting beer-coke-mix invented by Andrea…

Well… This is how we welcomed Bomi – seeing her looked disturbed by Chinese food… OK. Afterall this is our first ever MC Party. With this good start, of course we are going to have more and more parties coming!

Read & Adopt AIESEC-HK MC Plan 05/06 - National Convention!

After starting planning on 1/7, MC team went through various critical discussions and seriously studied the internal system, external reality and stakeholders' satisfaction; to make sure we had relevant and sufficient inputs for our Scoreboard development and to lay down a holistic AIESEC XP Implementation plan.

The planning process is tough but exciting, especially when we are going to align strategic triangle to all systems and setting ambitious but realistic goals.

Our Scoreboard 0506, @XP Plan & all functional plans which are ready and presented in the National Convention Pre-Meeting. Your feedbacks on our scoreboard and National Plans have been considered and reflected on the updated scoreboards and plans, which will be read and adopted in the National Convention, 10:30 - 12:30 on 20/8.

Information Systems Corner

New Mirroring System of CMS Website

Until now the websites were mirrored from the CMS to the live webservers each night. Taking into the consideration the feedback of the countries to have immediate mirroring, we developed a new mirroring system which allows you to have the changed content online within few minutes.

When you edit a page in CMS, you have the option to publish changes. If you press this, then the content from CMS is mirrored to the live server in about 5 minutes. If for some reason the mirroring process is interrupted, then you will be notified to publish the changes again.

If you choose the option save changes when you edit a page under the CMS, then the page won't be mirrored and you can work on it until you finish it.

Some changes will be mirrored automatically (like create new pages, articles).

When you build a website from scratch, first it has to be enabled the whole mirroring system. Countries and LCs should write to AI to enable the mirroring system for the first time.

Local Committee Engagement on AIESEC 2010!

What will AIESEC be like in 2010? In order to create a future direction for the years to come. There will be a LC Engagement Process to receive your visionary voices. The process will last until 19 Aug and will be further discussed in IC 2005

Your input is very important to the process of the AIESEC 2010. Simply click here the AIESEC 2010 page . Go through the guideline and download the LC Engagement Guide . It is impressive that LCs have reserved some time for generating the input for AIESEC 2010. Meetings were conducted with CUHK, PolyU and HKU, and meetings with Lingnan and HKBU will be held on 16/8 and 17/8 respectively.

A 1.5 hr session will be conducted to receive your feedback. It 'd be better if the discussion can involve different AIESEC people so that their perspectives can be widened.
