Learning Network Initiatives

Thanks for all of your feedback on LN. AIESEC-LC-HKU and AIESEC-LC-PolyU have submitted their applications.Great thanks. MC team will evaluate the potential and suitability of running the LN in LCs.

Common Recruitment

We have been receiving feedbacks from LCs, MC Development Team in the past weeks, and we are glad that we have received so many useful feedbacks from you all. We will be analyzing the feedbacks and make further amendments on our plans in the coming week and the common recruitment plan will be finalized by June 11, 2005.

Upcoming we will have our Common Recruitment Days! It would be held on June 14-15, 2005, venue to be confirmed. The main focus of the days would be on how Common Recruitment can possibly happen in campus and to provide training on necessary skills/knowledge you need for recruitment. Our targets are EC-OGXs/ HROs/ PDOs and all relevant parties.

In order to facilitate campus promotion under the new common recruitment initiative, our team will be developing Campus Promotion Materials (Poster, Leaflet, Communication Plans…etc) in the coming month and they will be ready for use in June. Please refer to our Common Recruitment PowerPoint:

New Member Structure

From the feedbacks we've got from LCs in the consultation period, more LCs have indicated that option2 of the member structure will be adopted (the better one!). And LCs have VERY different difficulties as well as advantages on the implementation. To help each LC adopt the framework successfully, we need to sit down and work out the plan together. And we shall do this during the upcoming LC visits next week.

1 TN realized in AIESEC-LC-pLC Cheers!!!

The first trainee of AIESEC-pLC-PolyU, Grace, will arrive in Hong Kong and start her traineeship in the Department of Building Services Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She will act as a personal assistant in assisting the Head and Associate Head in the day-to-day administration and operation. She has participated in many national and international conferences when she was in Malaysia and she is experienced in running quality exchange. We wish her a fantastic traineeship in Hong Kong!

AI Visit

Welcome gathering for AI VPER and LC visits AI VPER , Vaibhav Khandelwal and AI VPER elect Petr Skvaril , arecoming to Hong Kong from 31 May to 4 June. They would like to meet with AIESECers in Hong Kong. We will have a welcome gathering on 1 June at PolyU. It is a great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with extremely experienced AIESECers from AI. You really can't afford to miss this opportunity.

CMS Development/AIESEC.net Report & Global IS Update

Content Management System (CMS) (http://www.aiesec.net/web/hong-kong/home/) and an online application system (http://aiesec.hk/online_application) are under construction. The first draft of CMS is expected to be released early June while the beta version of online application system is expected to be released in mid June.

An AIESEC.net Performance Testing Report and Global IS Updates was released yesterday. Several tests were conducted to evaluate the performance of AIESEC.net, and the results were included in the report. You could find the report by clicking the following link:
