AIESEC HK MC0809 Application Open!!

GLOBAL TALENT WANTED!!!

Hey AIESEC,

On behalf of MC 0708, I would like to express my deepest excitement to you about the Member Committee Recruitment. In AIESEC, we talk about dreams, we talk about how we walk through our journey, it will definitely be one of the stations in your AIESEC journey that make your dreams happen.

We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us

It's your gut to push yourself out of comfort

It's your wisdom to lift you up to take over challenges

And make a difference

And it's YOU who determine your choice!

Nadya, AIESEC HK VPPD 0607, from Ukraine originally:

MC term in Hong Kong was a life-changing experience :)

"In Hong Kong I saw how passion and will of few people can impact whole organization's development in a year's time. I learnt a lot professionally through coaching 6 LCs and interaction with business representatives. As an international I discovered a lot about challenges and successes of intercultural communication, I discovered what Diversity means. Hong Kong challenged my understanding of people, leadership and the whole world. I opened up Asia through Hong Kong - a opening that changed my life. I found friends for life time. A year I will never ever forget :)"

Ren Chang, AIESEC HK Business Development Manager 0607, from Malaysia originally: "

"It was a life changing experience being part of the AIESEC Hong Kong MC team. There have been so many times where my ideas have been challenged by my teammates but they are always there to motivate & support me to do well. My teammates have taught me many things and help me in my personal development."

Don't miss it!!!!

Who are the Salespersons? Here We Are!! NST is selected!!!

Dear AIESECers,

The national sales team is successfully formed with new sales talent joined. They are from LC- HKU, LC- HKUST, LC-PolyU.May I now introduce them to you.

 Who are the Salespersons?

Why do they join?

Davis Tsui

Outgoing Exchange Team Officer

AIESEC-LC- HKU

Session 2007-2008

"As previously mentioned, I work for the ER for the Ripples International Conference 2008. During my duty, I found myself heavily engrossed in dealing with externals and enjoy facing the unexpected challenges and the joy from the achievements when I was working through the externals. I am highly passionate in AIESEC and wish to contribute myself to the whole AIESEC in HK as well as my LC, and have a great interest to continue my job towards dealing external affairs."

Carmen Tsang

Pre-EB

AIESEC-LC-HKUST

Session 2008-2009

"Firstly I see this as an invaluable opportunity for me to acquire the skills necessary for my term as an EB (whatever position it might be) in 08-09. Secondly, I truly believe in my capabilities and potential in contributing to the National Sales Team. Thirdly, I am a person who loves challenges and changes. I believe being in the team would accelerate my personal development, both as a leader and as a pillar of our world. "

Karen Poon

External Relations Officer

AIESEC-LC-PolyU

Session 2007-2007

"I want to have achievements for my LC after taking in the National Sales Team, since I could acquire different knowledge and skills.  I am passionate in AIESEC and I could say I have engaged most of my time and effort on ER team, I attended different external functions and raised several firm visits in order to raise TNs.  Therefore, I want to join the National Sales Team since I believe I can devote and engage myself more to achieve better results.  Apart from that, AIESEC emphasizes on ACTIVE LEARNING, I think as an AIESECer, I should seize every opportunity to learn and to develop my talents and potentials. "

Thank you for actively support to the team and let's congratulate to the sales fighter!

WE ARE THE SALES FIGHTER !

Team Building Asia in Conference!

"Hey AIESEC!!"

It was not from our AIESEC members, it was from Miss Carol Gibb, 1 of representatives of Team Building Asia who run a team building workshop with her partner, Mr David Simpson during Solar Conference.

It was not the first time Team Building Asia running team building workshops for our AIESEC leaders, actually, they are our Activity Partner which support AIESEC in HONG KONG since session 0506, but this year, a little unusual, it is the 1st time for them to join our National Conference, having chances to get along with our unique AIESEC culture.

The most inspiring part, reflected by some delegates were the Colour Test and the Leadership Values Discussion.

For Colour Test, the delegates got to know their working styles as well as others by 4 Colour Test, during this part, the delegates shared a lot about the fun fact, similarities and difference among the styles; and for Leadership Values Discussion, the delegates discussed about their desired leadership values, which was a great platform to clarify their expectation towards leadership.

The overall response and feedback were great, full of insight and fun under the facilitation of Team Building Asia. Many reflected that they are willing attend similar session in the future!

After signing their contracts in December 2007, the EPs started their series of Preparation. The 1st Outgoing Preparation Seminar (OPS) was held at the end of December 2007. With the synergic effect brought by a team of diverse facilitators, and the enthusiastic participation given by the delegates, we ended the day with common laughter and shared dreams & views. Thank you all for your participation, and we look forward to the 2nd OPS in January 2008. Stay Tuned! :D

**Special thanks must be given to our dearest facilitators: CK (CUHK Returnee), Georgi (PolyU Intern), YK (HKBU Intern), Jacso (exMC Director-Exchange Development), Martin (Returnee), Jonathan (MC T&D Manager, HKUST Returnee) and Claudia (PolyU LCVPX, Returnee)

LC Corner

Polyu AIESEC-LC-PolyU’s first PBOX, O2 vision, is established!

It is a project on engaging business entities to abate effects of global warming by reducing carbon emission in their daily operations. During May to August, we will have interns coming in to Hong Kong to conduct the assessment! On top of that, there will be conference and workshops conducted to raise people’s awareness on the issue and to take action upon the issue!

We prepared ourselves with learning circles and workshops to build up our own competencies, and more is coming up. We are now ready to fight! See attached picture to see us in action searching for partnership opportunities! J It is a fruitful experience for us since we can practice the skills we gained in the trainings in real situation.

We hope that not only our PBOX members but all AIESEC members will benefit and be inspired by O2 vision.

O2 vision, back to the origin! Step forward to make an impact!
