ITC Delegation

On 16-23rd of April, in Mamaia, Romania The International Trainers Congress took place. Among 120 delegates from over 35 countries there were three brave girls representing whole South-East Asia - Hong Kong delegation of Sandy Siu (Lingnan), Vivien Chong (Lingnan) and Judy Kong (CUHK), plus me (Nadya - MC PD Director) as a facilitator.

ITC was about discovering environment in which competencies are developed. Delegates learnt how to build and live such an environment, how to learn and help others learn - crucial understanding for a Trainer or anyone who takes care of learning in AIESEC.

They had an opportunity to develop trainings on personal leadership for 500 Romanian Students while working in teams of 10-12 people during four days and going through learning sessions delivered by facilitators. Last day was delivered by External companies who were sharing how they develop competencies of Active Learning, Cultural Sensitivity, Entrepreneurship and Social responsibility in their organizations.

Highlights:

* Global Village in the middle of Bucharest near beautiful Opera House;
* President of Romania giving a speech together with PAIe Gabriela Albescu at the Opening Plenary in Bucharest;
* International Training Day where 120 delegates were giving a personal leadership training to 500 Romanian students, trainings that as participants said afterwards - "Changed their attitudes and can change their lives".

Please contact Sandy, Vivien, Judy and me for more details on their experience!! Read more feedbacks on ITC here

Heroes Project 07-08 PBOX Competition

Will your PBOX be a Local Success or a Success for the Whole APGN?

Is your country running PBOXs in the area of Entrepreneurship?

Do you think your PBOX model could be duplicated across the whole GN?

Then maybe this email is right for you!

Dear AIESECers from across the Asia Pacific,

The Heroes Project 2007-08 PBOX Competition is now open.

For the term 2007-2008, along with all entrepreneurship PBOXs of all kinds being able to tie into the Heroes Project initiative, the initiative is taking the next step forward by designing one single PBOX that will be used as the key driver across the network, and be the major focus of implementation support for the APGN Project Manager.

To design this PBOX we are looking for the successful PBOX examples that have been run across the GN, and that is where this competition comes in. By entering the PBOX who are running or have run in your country, if your PBOX wins, its model will be used as the base of design for the Heroes Project Key PBOX for the 07-08 term, and your PBOX will help the growth of IBXP across the whole GN!

We are looking for PBOXs relating to the fields of Corporate Entrepreneurship (including Business Expansion) and Social Entrepreneurship.

Do you think your PBOX has what it takes to drive growth across the GN? Enter today by downloading the competition pack here

The deadline is May 24th, 2007 at 0600 GMT!

Visit the Growth Network - Asia Pacific community for more information. Email any questions to ryan@ai.aiesec.org

Issue-based AIESEC Experiences

Task Force initiation in LCs

As you have noticed, issue-based experiences are very complex. It is not just about PD team, not only about Exchangers who will raise internships, not only HR who will find (market) students interested in issues, not only Branding who will positions issue-based XPs…

How to ensure that your LC has everything covered to provide IB@XPs for people and not forget anything? How to start providing these experiences for your members, how to track implementation from all perspectives??

Start an Issue-based AIESEC XP task Force in your LC.

What will it do?

Who has to be involved?

How will it work?

Download the file here!

and ask me any questions you have

**Issue-based experience. It's not one thing. It's many :)**
