Member Committee President 0809 Elect

Dear all members,

On behalf of AIESEC Hong Kong, I am extremely pleased to announce the Results of the Member Committee President 2007 - 2008 Election on 27th Jan 2008:

Cyrus Mak:  86% For

With more than two third of majority votes, Cyrus Mak is elected as the Member Committee President of AIESEC in Hong Kong 2008- 2009. Congratulations!!!!

The national plenary was impressed by the both candidates' passion, inspiration, effort, and detemination tht he had demonstrated in the election. We are confident that Cyrus is going to lead AIESEC Hong Kong to a bright future and a next level of great success.

Asia Pacific Exchange Leadership Development Seminar

The most exiting conference of the region is just around the corner.  Asia Pacific Leadership Development Seminar (APXLDS) 2008, which will be held in Japan from the 17th to 23th March 2008

Digital Generation Survey - Launched today!!!

AIESEC leading the Digital Generation

AIESEC are pleased to invite you to take part in the Digital Generation Survey which is launched today! This new exciting research study will assess people’s use of technology for learning, work and leisure.

Please take the time to participate – we really do want your views, which will help shape the strategies of AIESEC and of leading employers and technology companies. It will help them understand how to keep up with the ‘Digital Generation’.

Everyone who completes the survey will receive a personal "fun profile" that reveals where you get your energy and fun in leisure activities, and may even suggest example jobs that match your profile.

By taking part you will also support two charities that help young people. Leading hotel group Marriott International has kindly agreed to donate $2 for every completed survey (up to the first 5,000 responses). Two IBLF charities will benefit equally: Youth Career Initiative and Digital Partnership .

After signing their contracts in December 2007, the EPs started their series of Preparation. The 1st Outgoing Preparation Seminar (OPS) was held at the end of December 2007. With the synergic effect brought by a team of diverse facilitators, and the enthusiastic participation given by the delegates, we ended the day with common laughter and shared dreams & views. Thank you all for your participation, and we look forward to the 2nd OPS in January 2008. Stay Tuned! :D

Polyu Exchange Month


January is the month for EXCHANGE!
 
There are some fantastic initiatives to boost outgoing exchange by promoting exchange opportunities to members.

In order to promote exchange opportunities for members, Exchange Team of AIESEC-LC-PolyU has organised a series of exchange activities including

- Stories from Afar (Jan 15)

A gathering with the interns to understand more about culture in the Eastern Europe

- X Touch (Jan 19)

It introduces more about AIESEC exchange and l et members be aware of the existence of cultural difference across different countries and the possibility of cultural conflicts

- One Step Forward (Jan 25) 

It is an action-taking function for members to participate in the exchange process by letting them know more about SRB application.

 
In addition, cultural series are launched. Culture Daily is released everyday so as to introduce cultural behaviour and interesting stories to members.

HKU Consultation Forum of AIESEC-LC-HKU

AIESEC-LC-HKU HKUSU sincerely invites you to come to our Consultation Forum on 2nd February 2008. This is the second year where such an event is held and your perspectives are particularly valuable for us to better consolidate our year plan into a more comprehensive one.  
 
Following last year's practice, we believe that Consultation Forum allows the new cabinet the chance to modify their plan after getting valuable advice from alumni before their term begin s . The core objectives of this Consultation Forum are as follow:
1.     To involve alumni and AIESCers during planning and seek for valuable advice 
2.     T o polish the plan into a more comprehensive and effective one by getting insights from diverse entities ( including alumni, interns, members, other LCs)
 
After the forum, the proposed cabinet will consolidate all the inputs and ideas to revise and formulate a more comprehensive and effective plan. Therefore, we sincerely invite you to attend this important event to bring AIESEC-LC-HKU to the next level.
 
The details of the forum are as follow:
Date: 2nd February 2008
Venue: P3, Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Center, The University of Hong Kong
Time: 2:00pm - 6.00pm
